The signs are obvious: dumpsters around town are filled to overflowing with decrepit
furniture; grocery store aisles are packed with spiffy lunch boxes and spiral notebooks;
a span of glorious weather has arrived to taunt those who are about to find themselves
sequestered in classrooms. Yes, the summer break is drawing to an end and fall semester
is upon us.
Here at C4A we are gearing up for a great new season! Next week I will send a complete
list of classes and events for our fall semester.
In the meantime we'd like to share some music with you at a recital/party and invite
you to learn more about our programs.  Please read on for details.

Faculty String Band

At the Iron Post, downtown Urbana. No cover; Suitable for all ages.
Join us in the friendly and relaxed neighborhood pub atmosphere at the Iron Post
 for a "mix-n-match" recital featuring faculty and students from C4A's music program.
Some of our new faculty members will be joining returning faculty in performances
of mixed styles from virtuoso piano selections to fiddle rags. You'll also get a
 sampling of what our students are doing: classical kids, fiddling kids, and adult
students will be mixed into the set with faculty performers.

We're hosting a series of free information sessions about our programming at C4A.
 If you attend one of these sessions you'll get an overview of our course offerings
and have the opportunity to ask questions and meet our teachers.
