The Common Mind is a group of visual artists coming together to create art
and events that promote local talent. Among the founding members are Matt
Harsh (video artist - CU) and Ryan Michael Fraser (Painter - Chicago).
Together as a collective, they organized several infamous shows at LUNA
cafe in Champaign, and several were a part of the annual Boneyard Arts
festival. These shows included live art, dance, music, video, and more.

This is the second Common Mind event at Indigo gallery and we couldn't be
happier to have the entire space to work with this time!

Mixed In: is a multi-medium art showcase and event. The showcase will
include displays from over 15+ local artists, including oil and acrylic
paintings, ceramics, glass jewelry, video, graffiti art, and more. The
event on Saturday will feature live glassblowing demonstration, live video
display, as well as live painting. The artists range in age and experience,
but most are currently based in Champaign-Urbana and are nonacademic
artists.

This show will also feature some great local DJs and performers, including
DJ MERTZ a regular at the Pecha Kucha events as well as Exile on Main.
Other local artists such as Kirkwood West, Jive Davis, and DJ Belly will
bringing their own range of sounds to the atmosphere of Indigo.
