is a 9-year-old filmmaking competition where filmmakers have 5 days to create a 
short non-fiction film (4-7 minutes).  In addition to being restricted on time, 
filmmakers must choose between 2 assigned documentary genres (such as Biography,
 Music, 1st Person, etc.) and are assigned a specific theme (such as "Freedom") 
that will dictate the content and direction of their film.

in Toronto, where the Winners are announced. After the premiere, there are additional
theatrical screenings in major cities and possible television exposure.  The films

giving away the DocuMentors Award.  The winner of this award will receive $500 in
cash and $1,500 worth of DocuMentors services.  In total, there is over $6,000 in
cash and prizes available to the winners, thanks to our amazing sponsors.

All registered participants will make their films from Feb. 26 - March 2, 2014, 
and are required to upload their work by Midnight (local time) on March 2nd.

General registration ends January 31st, the final registration deadline is February
15th.
