will feature performances by Amasong, C-U's Premiere Lesbian/Feminist Chorus and
 Master Storyteller Dan Keding. But the event is more than great entertainment -
 it is an opportunity to stand up for human dignity and a welcoming, inclusive community.
 And as with any good celebration there will be plenty of food and drink!

You may recall that last fall the University Y lost a $60,000 grant supporting its
work with local immigrant communities when the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant 
and Refugee Rights (ICIRR) endorsed marriage equality.   In response to that decision,
the Catholic Campaign for Human Development withdrew its grant to the Y unless we
revoked our membership in ICIRR.

Our Board refused to comply, and instead set out to replace those funds with local
donations.  I am pleased to report that we have raised just over $32,000 to date!
 And the proceeds from the Storylines celebration on March 16th will help us close
that gap even further.
