C4A Jazz Talks

Saturday, April 4, 5:00 to 7:00 PM:

Join us for "Remembering the Musical Legacies of John Garvey," the second in our
 series of "Jazz Talks" at the Iron Post. (120 South Race St. Urbana)

C4A faculty member, Dorothy Martirano, with with long-time C-U musicians Morgan 
Powell, Jeff Helgesen, Tom "Shab" Wirtel, Gary Peyton,    and Sue & Bruce Wood will
reminisce about their intersections with C-U music scene luminary, John Garvey, 
and share stories about the various musical adventures he championed at the University
of Illinois.

Tom Faux, ethnomusicologist and C4A faculty member, along with local jazz historian
Jamie Hutchinson, will moderate the discussion. The cover is $10, and thanks to 
the Iron Post, all proceeds will go to support C4A.
