Hi Brian,

Comcast is the most hated cable company in the United States. Their track
record for poor customer service and soaring prices has certainly earned
them that reputation among its customers. Now they want to merge with Time
Warner, the second largest cable company in the U.S., for a hefty $45
billion.

*Are you against the merger? Sign the petition!

This deal would be disastrous for poor families and communities of color.
Not only does it give Comcast control over the two biggest cable markets,
New York and Los Angeles, but gives it a near monopoly (90%) over Latino
cable subscribers. That's why the members of the Media Action Grassroots
Network are fighting
<http://org2.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=uW8DoUkbqF%2B9n06A2g0un9rlNIwzPZvH>
to
block this merger.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Department of Justice (DOJ)
will soon decide if this merger is in the public interest. Comcast has
spent millions in PR trying to paint this merger as a good thing for its
customers. But according to Comcast's Executive Vice President, David
Cohen, your cable and Internet bill are not "going to go down or increase
less rapidly." Millions of dollar can't hide the fact that this merger
means higher bills for our communities and larger profit margins for
Comcast. That's why we need your help. Sign this petition
<http://org2.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=tOfrZccTuTof5L81%2FauiXdrlNIwzPZvH>
and deliver the message that this merger must be blocked.

*Tell the FCC and the DOJ to act in the public interest and block the
Comcast-Time Warner merger.

Thank you in advance for adding your name. We will be hand delivering this
petition alongside thousands of petitions from other allies at an upcoming
action in May.  Stay tuned!
