Cultural and social media strategies like #hoodiesup protests, memes, songs and murals created forums to connect intersecting issues of police brutality, white supremacy, vigilantism, and a biased corporate-controlled media. The “not guilty” verdict has only increased cultural resistance to a broken system.</p>
