Hi Carol,

I thought I would fill you in on what we talked about today.

We have two options for MLK day so far. One is to bring children here and do
2 possibly 3 workshops with them. The other is to go paint for Housing
Authority.

First is that Aaron agreed to call B&G Club and ask them the following
questions

         1) What they are already doing for MLK day if anything.
          2) If they have kids in an appropiate age range for us (9-14)
          3) If they are interested in partnering with us for this event
          4) If they can provide transportation for them to come here

These are all conditional things. When Aaron hears back from them we can
proceed accordingly. Ideally we would want around 15 kids.

The 2-3 workshops would include:

          1) Building a Simple Noise Synthesizer with Brian
          2) Learn-a-Bike with Carl
          3) (Pending) Something to do with Dr. King. Suggestions for this
include a short movie, a discussion with them about him (asking them what
they have learned about him), or sharing fun little known facts about him
with them (did he have a pet? what was his favorite food? and other fun
things they would not normally learn in school)

If this workshop thing does not work out (much of this is dependant on
Aarons discussion with B&G) we will use the Housing Authority paint project
as our fall back plan.

Thanks,
Sam
