[Imcamericorps] Free Advertisement for events

Hi,

I discovered today that the Mtd offers free ads for non-profit events. The
woman in charge of this is Jan Kijowski you can reach her by calling the
standard Mtd number (217 384 8188) and asking for her. You do have to send
them a copy of your 501c3 to fax number 217 384 8215 but once you do it one
time they can keep it on file.

The regulations are that they have to be printed 11X17 landscape. The
ideally should be on a heavier weight paper (like a cardstock) so you may
need to print them at Kinkos or something similar. The go out on the 1st and
15th of every month but you should have your submission in at
least a week before then just in case. You can have up to 91 which puts one
on every bus. There is not minimum. These appear along the top of the inside
of the bus.

Once you have spoken with Jan, faxed the 501c3 form, and printed your ads
you drop them off at the office located at 1101 E University, Urbana It is
east of the Mtd garage.

I decided yesterday that this would be a good idea for our upcoming booksale
and talked with her this morning so opportunity missed for us because today
is the 15th. However for others this could be free advertisement in a big
way.
