[Imcamericorps] Oncorps

Hi all,

Frustrating. Leon and I both worked until Sunday morning, so submitting
earlier in the week wasn't even an option. Grrrr.

I've spent quite a bit of time today and tonight reading up on this error.
(The database administrator in me just had to know.)

The short answer is that it's an issue on their server, and not a network
problem. There is nothing we can do until they reboot the server and/or fix
the problem. The long description is below.

This is a really flaky error.

Sometimes it's just a MicroSoft "feature" that is simply resolved by
rebooting the server... not unlike PC or laptop features like the mouse no
longer responding even though there are no run-away processes, or programs
that sometimes work and that sometimes don't for no apparent reason.

It can also be caused by Windows updates that impact the networking
software, updates to the application software (like ASP, Visual Basic, MS
Access or other such reporting applications or reporting tools they use), or
updates to the database software (e.g., Oracle, MY SQL, etc.).
