are on a tour and we're coming through Champaign-Urbana to stay with our
friend Mimi Nguyen. We are hoping to set up a reading with her
at Makerspace on March 17th!

Check out the press release and let me know if it's possible!

Thanks so much

PRESS RELEASE

*The Bellies, Witches and Writers Traveling Road Show*

A literary road tour with Tomas Moniz, Sage Adderley, Taryn Hipp and Jonas

Hello: we are thrilled to announce *The Bellies, Witches and Writers
Traveling Road Show* featuring Tomas Moniz, Sage Adderley, Taryn Hipp and
Jonas, longtime zinesters, radical parents, and literary performers!

Tomas Moniz has re-launched Rad Dad <http://www.raddadmagazine.com/> into a
full-fledged magazine as well as published his novella *Bellies and
Buffalos* <http://blackhillpress.com/book/bellies-and-buffalos/>.

Taryn Hipp released her memoir novella, *Heavy Hangs the Head* in August
while continuing to make zines, currently she writes the perzine Lady Teeth.

Sage Adderley just released *Invoking Nonna*, a young adult paranormal
story about a teenage witch, Maggie Sloan, who is desperate to repair her
broken relationship with her witchy mother while searching for the truth
behind the whereabouts of her father and the mysterious death of her
grandmother.

Jonas just became a father and celebrates the arrival of his first novella *The
Greatest Most Traveling Circus*

What better way to celebrate than hitting the road, sharing stories and
creating community along the way?

We would love to book a reading on March 17th as a part of the *The
Bellies, Witches and Writers Traveling Road Show* for an event filled with
hope, hi-jinks and hilarity about radical parenting, the creative process,
and all around literary tomfoolery. Readers will include Tomas Moniz,
Jonas, Taryn Hipp, Sage Adderley, plus few writers from your area.

Here are some press blurbs for the releases: [add some for yours]

*"**Rad Dad is one of the most important voices on the planet--at once
parental, political, feminist, humble, and full of heart."*

*-Ariel Gore*

"Author Tomas Moniz's take on the literary road trip is both hilarious and
poignant. With great moments of laughter and depth, *Bellies and
Buffalos *solidifies
Moniz's unique voice."

-Lilliam Rivera, Editor

"In *Invoking Nonna*, Sage Adderley crafts a coming of age tale with a
magical twist."

-Kate Evangelista, Bestselling Author of *Taste*

"*Heavy Hangs The Head* is Hipp's first book-length work, and it traces her
cross-country path through failed romances, substance abuse, and emotional
chaos illuminated by understated flashes of triumph and feminist insight.
It's an anxious book by an anxious writer, and it's all the more alive
because of it."

Thanks

Tomas, Jonas, Taryn and Sage!

*Bio*

*Tomas Moniz* is the founder, editor, and a writer for the award winning
zine, book and now magazine: *Rad
Dad*<http://www.amazon.com/Rad-Dad-Dispatches-Frontiers-Fatherhood/dp/1604864818>.
He also is co-founder and co-host of the successful monthly reading series
Lyrics and Dirges as well as the more rambunctious open mic, Saturday Night
Special. He's been making zines since the late nineties, and his most
current zines *Dirty *and *The Body is a Wild Wild Thing *are available,
but you have to write him a postcard: PO Box 3555, Berkeley CA 94703. Tomas
teaches at Berkeley City College.

*Jonas* is from Chicago, where he still lives with his family. He writes *Cheer
the Eff Up*, a zine mostly about washed up punks, cake and depression. It's
supposed to be funny too. He's also on the editorial staff of the upcoming *Rad
Dad* magazine. Jonas enjoys reading, painting, going to shows and in
general not sleeping. His wife claims that he is a vampire, but she must
mean those lame Twilight vampires because, so far, daylight has not reduced
him to ashes. *The Greatest Most Traveling Circus* is his first book.

*Sage Adderley* is a single (and very busy) mom of three humans and one
cat. She is passionate about kindness, coffee, mental health, fat activism,
and the DIY lifestyle. Sage is the owner of Sweet Candy Distro & Press,
Sage's Blog Tours, and writes the zines *Tattooed Memoirs* and *Marked For
Life*. She is also the creator of *FAT-TASTIC*! Sage currently resides in
the magical land of Olympia, Wa. *Invoking Nonna* is her first book.

*Taryn Hipp* is an old tattooed college lady who has been making zines for
more than half her life. Currently she writes the perzine "Ladyteeth," a
collection of stories about her experiences being depressed, getting
divorced, getting sober, & falling in love. Every day is a beautiful gift &
a terrifying adventure that continues to make her stronger. *Heavy Hangs
the Head* is Taryn's first book.
