Hey everyone,

So the super cool Allied Media Conference <https://amc.alliedmedia.org/>
(AMC) is almost here and there is a neat opportunity for us to maybe send
someone and get some funds for doing so (see below).

Also it's just a great conference that I really enjoyed last year, it is as
they describe a "collaborative laboratory of media-based organizing
strategies for transforming our world". And has lots of very makerspace
related talks going on. I'm still not sure I can make it but if other
makerspace people are interested I might tag along.

I got a call inviting the IMC to send a delegate to the Allied Media
Conference networking gathering on racial justice and surveillance
<https://talk.alliedmedia.org/content/racial-justice-and-surveillance>.

It's Thursday, July 19 and the conference continues Fri, Sat, Sun. We get
$500 in support to send someone.

Would you be interested in going and representing the IMC? Or is there
someone focused on the intersection of these issues who would be a good
person to send?

I was just asked  today and they want a name by end of day tomorrow,
Tuesday.
