Paul Kotheimer interview: SPIN magazine: Transcript
....
Q: Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
A: Oh, er, I would say the egg definitely. Otherwise, where did the
chicken... Oh, wait.. Um...
Q: Describe your sound.
A: I play music basically. It's-
Q: How many drops of water are there in the world?
A: Oh geez, the whole world, um, a couple hundred at least. I have a song
about a flood, it's-
Q: Chicks. Drugs. Any opinion?
A: Well, yes, I think...
Q: Nuclear energy, is it reliable?
A: No.
Q: So what do you think about Limp Bizkit.
A: Oh, ah, a bunch of crap really, I mean, given any kind of historical
perspective broader than, like, a year. They'll be forgotten long before,
say, Buddy Holly and the Crickets...
Q: They're cool, right?
A: That's what I meant, yeah.
Q: How deep the ocean? How high the moon?
A: I have a song that addresses some of these themes... Say, did you
listen to any of my music before interviewing me, or...?
Q: If you had to get a job, what would you do?
A: I think I'd like to compose those two-second themes that occur when you
turn on your computer. I'd like to work with Brian Eno on one of those.
Q: Kurt Cobain was God.
A: I have a song that's sort of about that but not really... Wait, was
that a question?
