Hello Everyone,
This is primarily to ask when folks think we be a good time to get
together.  I'm thinking sometime in the Wed, March 22 to Sat, March 25
time frame.  I would hope to gather as many folks as possible to talk
about where we are, how we should organize the process, and what our
immediate goals need to be.

Theoretically, the period for filing an application is to be after
30-day period beginning on April 17.  The big broadcasters have been
threatening to sue to stop this and a bill was introduced to prevent the
FCC from granting licenses in this new service.  What effect this may
have we can't tell, but we do have to be prepared to file an application
within the next six weeks or to miss our chance to do this great
project.

It will take the combined efforts of a number of people with differing
and complementary talents.  I think the three groups are very much in
this vein, and there is also great potential to draw others into it. 
I'm pleased to announce that Bill Taylor, a person with a great deal of
expertise in the area of community radio (one of the main movers behind
the founding of WEFT, in fact) has agreed to advise and consult with
us.  His skills mean that we have access to the technical help that it
takes to put this thing together, that we do not already possess.  It is
now up to us to pull a community of interests together in such fashion
as to make the rest of the pieces fall into place.

Please let me know when  a good time to meet is for you. Suggestions for
a place to meet are also needed.
