Greets,
This from last weeks GA

I haven't got a lot of response yet on the Media Transparency in Political Ads,
I forgot to highlight the fact that the FreePress .net section on Public File
Inspection has a handbook on the process, which those interested can look at .
Hoping to get this started before the ad avalanche against single payer
healthcare that we can possibly anticipate,

Eleanor Evans asked me to make sure this gets circulated, I don't know who can
put this on the calender, but please do. TIA

An organizational meeting to plan for combined OccupyCU and the Ad Hoc group
opposing the PCB dumping over the aquifer near Clinton will take place at
5:30PM, Thur Aug 9th at the Lincoln Square site of the Common Ground Food Coop.
Weather permitting outside, otherwise in the hallway lounge west of the Coop.
Possible actions include an Occupy style presence near the Area Disposal
Services in Champaign, attendance at the following

Clinton Landfill Meeting:

The House of Representatives Environment and Energy committee will have a public
hearing on the Clinton Landfill and the legislation proposed on storing PCB’s at
the facility which sits over the Mahomet Aquifer. The meeting will be at 1:00
p.m. on Thursday, August 16th at 1:00 p.m. in the basement of the Farm Bureau at
427 W. Marion Street Monticello, IL 61856.

The firm wanting to handle the PCB's is called Area Disposal Services, why they
talk about storing them stumps me.
