Subject: [cchcc-l] Help for those who lost IL Cares Rx - Monday, Aug. 13,        2012

Dear Friends,

Champaign County Health Care Consumers (CCHCC) and other local senior
service agencies will be holding a second Special Enrollment Event for
people who lost their IL Cares Rx and Medicaid benefits. Join us on Monday,
August 13, 2012 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Provena Covenant Medical Center in
Urbana for information and support to alleviate some of the pain and
suffering from these devastating cuts (see bottom of the message for date,
time, location, and parking information).

Advocates will be available to meet with you individually, answer your
questions, and explore other state and federal programs to see if you are
eligible for assistance. Please call to pre-register and reserve your time
with an advocate to avoid a long wait.

Participating agencies include:
 * CCHCC
 * Provena Center for Healthy Aging
 * Champaign County Regional Planning Commission
 * Family Service Senior Resource Center
 * Provena Home Health
 * Carle Foundation Hospital
 * Smile Healthy

As former recipients of IL Cares Rx go to the pharmacy, consumers are
seeing just how much their drug co-pays have increased. Many have also been
billed by their Part D insurance provider for a monthly premium they have
never had to pay.

Are you unsure how you'll be able to continue paying for your medication
without IL Cares Rx?

Are you worried about the loss of your Medicaid benefits, such as dental,
vision, and prescription drug coverage?

Do you need help filling out applications and getting enrolled in programs
that provide medical or prescription financial assistance?

Do you have a friend or loved one who you are concerned about that relied
on IL Cares Rx or Medicaid?

Join us on Monday, August 13 at Provena Covenant Medical Center and we
will do our best to answer all of your questions and make sure you are
connected to the resources and programs you need. The event will be located
in the hospital Auditorium conference rooms, which are on the first floor
across from the registration office.
