Subject: FW: Vote Hyatt Worst

Sandra,

I wanted to share this important solidarity action with you from our friends at UNITEHERE!.

Housekeepers at Hyatt hotels this week launched a global boycott of the hotel chain and a campaign to crown Hyatt the worst hotel employer in America.

There are many reasons why Hyatt could be considered the worst hotel employer in the country, including replacing career housekeepers with temp workers, firing workers for speaking out about abuse in the workplace and turning heat lamps on protesters in Chicago during a heat wave.

And that's just the start.

You can take action right now to support Hyatt housekeepers by voting Hyatt the worst hotel employer in America. Just click here .

Thousands already have voted Hyatt the worst since the website went live this week and people are sharing all over Facebook and Twitter.

Click here now to help housekeepers reach their goal of 5 million votes worldwide and make sure to share with your friends and family on Facebook, Twitter and through e-mail .

For more info, see the original e-mail about the campaign launch below.

Thanks for supporting Hyatt housekeepers and all working families.

In Solidarity,

Nicole Aro
Digital Strategies, AFL-CIO

The call to "Boycott Hyatt" does not include the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa and the Grand Hyatt Kauai, which have current collective bargaining agreements with the International Longshore and Warehouse Union, and does not include the following Hyatt hotels with current UNITEHERE! collective bargaining agreements: Grand Hyatt New York, Andaz 5th Avenue, Andaz Wall Street, Hyatt Hotel (Highway One Monterey), Hyatt Regency Monterey, Hyatt Penn's Landing (Philadelphia), Hyatt Regency Atlanta, Hyatt Regency Dearborn (Michigan), Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center, Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina, Hyatt Regency on King (Toronto), Park Hyatt Toronto, Hyatt Regency Vancouver, Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill, Hyatt Rosemont, Hyatt Place San Jose and Hyatt Place Braintree (Massachusetts).

Dear Friends,

Housekeepers nationwide need your help. If you've ever stayed at a Hyatt and had a good night's sleep, you have a housekeeper to thank for your fresh sheets and fluffed pillows. But invisible to hotel guests is the pain and hardship that housekeepers endure to provide us with an atmosphere of comfort and luxury.

That's why this week Hyatt housekeepers are launching a global boycott of Hyatt. Please take two seconds to support them by voting Hyatt the Worst Hotel Employer in America .

Why is Hyatt the worst? Hyatt has replaced career housekeepers with temp workers earning minimum wage. Hyatt housekeepers have heavy workloads that can lead to debilitating pain and injuries. Hyatt has fired women shortly after they have spoken out about abuse and indignities at work. And Hyatt even turned heat lamps on workers protesting these conditions during a brutal Chicago heat wave.

Worldwide, we are calling on five million people to take a stand and Vote Hyatt Worst .

By joining together, we will urge Hyatt to change its ways.

Hyatt Hurts! They're the Worst!
