 Hello -

I am writing to inform you that REAP (Radical Education for Autonomous
Persons) will be continuing its first speaker series, entitled Radical
Tactics, with a talk given by Dr. Todd May from Clemson University. This
talk will take place on Thursday, March 15th from 7 PM to 9 PM in Gregory
Hall 223.

Todd May is the founder of "post-structuralist anarchism" and has
introduced a new way of thinking about power in anarchist theory. There
are many strains of anti-humanism in contemporary political thought.
Anti-humanism seeks to undercut the privileging or centrality of human
beings in our political conceptions. This paper argues that when it comes
to political solidarity, we cannot entirely abandon humanism. There is an
inescapable humanist element to solidarity, one whose sharp edges might be
diminished but cannot be eliminated.

This is the third of four talks within this lecture series. Each talk
will cover an aspect of Radical Tactics. Information on future talks, as
well as promotional materials, will be distributed at a later date.

Please distribute this information to any relevant lists.

 Thank you!
