Because* the proposal has moved from the Committee of the Whole to the
County Board for the final vote.   *



 *A significant portion of our County Board members do not support the food
policy council and the economic and local foods development it entails. For
the food policy council proposal to pass, we need to speak out in mass at
the next County Board meeting. If you went to the last meeting or submitted
a comment, you should do so again. If you didn't, consider doing so this
time - this will be the final vote, and we need to show our County Board
how much Champaign County wants a food policy council.**

statement (available by the door). Give your completed form to the Board
chair, Pius Wiebel. After some opening procedures, you will be called to
the podium to speak in the order in which you submitted your form.

*2. Submit a written statement.* If you can't or would prefer not to attend
the meeting, you can email your statement to County Board member Pattsi

her no later than March 20 for your comment to be available for the Board
meeting.
