Hey Folks,

I think this resource could be relevant to many different parts of the
"New Jail" campaign. It turns out the Champaign County Clerk's website
provides fully text-searchable CCCB Minutes back to 1946!
Here's<http://www.champaigncountyclerk.com/county_board/cbminute_search.php>the
link. I'm attaching a folder which has every county board minute
which
includes the phrase "public safety sales tax." It's 37 documents, starting
with the proposal to have the referendum in 1997. Other possibilities:
tracking Steve Becketts career, the debate around the 1980 jail, etc.
