Carl, from where I'm standing, you copied peace and SF-core on your rely to
Ya'aqov---both of which I can't imagine you're certain Ya'aqov is even a
listmember of. That's what we call putting someone on blast and
*isn't*reasonable. While Ya'aqov's comment wasn't private in the sense
that it was
sent to the entire Occupy list, it was private to that list. Ya'aqov,
telling Carl your desire to end correspondence is something you could have
emailed Carl directly about.

Both, you're using public lists populated by more people than you can
imagine.

Sometimes I think we could all benefit from a little email
listserv etiquette refresher, accidents aside.

 I'm sending this to the whole list because I think this is something to
note for people on a listserv. As practice, it isn't appropriate to send
what is a message  to members of one listserv or conversation private to
one listserv to multiple others (It *is* an abuse of privacy.)---similarly,
once you have a question to ask someone personally or a response for one
individual--make it a personal email or (and Ya'aqov, you yourself have
told us how valuable this is) explain to the larger group why you're
sending it to the whole list is relevant for our Occupy group.
