You are invited to a free screening of *Socialism or Barbarism?* -- a film
with not one, but two narratives!

A combination of propaganda, television mash-ups, and artistic
cinematography, *Socialism or Barbarism?* reveals our national
consciousness as afflicted with a dissociative identity disorder. The
dominant class would have a person believe that we currently exist in the
best possible world, as it has always insisted. The film counters that,
instead, we must confront our troubled past, and reconsider who are our
friends or enemies, before we can recover from the tortures of the dominant
narrative and establish what kind of body we want to be.

Clips include U.S. anti-Communist propaganda, black liberation films, rare
propaganda and art from the Soviet Union, contemporary fare from the
anti-globalization movement, Occupy, and others.
