Admittedly I do not know all I should about this particular amendment to the continuing resolution.  However, I do not think the President has line item veto authority.  Unfortunately this time, and luckily other times, the President must either take legislation as provided to him, or veto the whole thing.  Vetoing the continuing resolution plays right into the hands of the ditto-heads, and throughs this country into recession, or perhaps a full fledged depression ( they would like that better ).

The 2013 
Continuing Resolution is now on the President's desk awaiting signature. It 
contains a rider we strongly oppose, and Mr. Obama CAN prevent from becoming 
law. With a groundswell of public outcry, it's far easier for us to persuade the 
President. Please do your part NOW. Don't delay - the bill is awaiting the 
President's signature.
