Move To Amend is looking for people to organize as part of a state-wide
ballot initiative challenging corporate personhood in the face of Citizens
United. I am no longer able to contribute the time necessary to continue
this work in Champaign-Urbana, but if another is, I would gladly share the
information I have from the campaign that led to the resolutions' passage
here the City of Campaign and Cunningham townships.

Illinois Move to Amend
State-wide Ballot Initiative


Please copy the survey along with your answers and send it to Kaye Gamble
at  mkgamble at ameritech.net   I won't be able to get your responses if you
just fill out the survey on this site.  It has to be copied and sent to
me.  Please ask members of your affiliate if they are interested and send
me the results.  If you like, you can call me with your answers at
630-975-8326.   You and your member's opinions are important.  If we decide
to do this, all registered voters in Illinois can vote for or against the
initiative written below.  It will be a way to bring attention to the
takeover of our country by the very rich and by corporations.  Please send
me your answers by March 14th.  Thank you so much for your help.



1. Would you be willing to support a campaign for a state-wide ballot
initiative with language such as the following:

*Shall the U.S. Constitution be amended to clearly state that the rights of
persons **protected by the U.S.  Constitution are the rights of natural
persons and not **those of corporations or other artificial entities and
that money is not speech **within the meaning of the First Amendment?*

2.  Would you be willing to help organize a campaign, collect signatures,
donate money for supplies or volunteer for miscellaneous duties?
