Thanks so much for your interest in protecting our Canada Geese in Crystal
Lake Park.


---We've had a terrific response this past week from people like yourself
who do not want the Urbana Park District to 'manage' our Canada geese in
Crystal Lake Park by means of killing them.


Currently, the Urbana Park District is petitioning to kill 60 to 100 geese
in July, if the USDA gives them the OK. UPD is working on the language of
their petition, and has not yet sent in that petition. But despite the
considerable protest against this, they intend to.


This week our group of save-the-geese-ers has been researching alternatives
to killing-the-geese, and has been writing to like-minded organizations who
are committed to protecting wildlife like the Canada geese.

If you have information you'd like to share, please send it to:

traffic about the geese. Please use it.


We'll be sending updates about actions we would like to take.
