[Peace-discuss] Hedges on Chomsky

I thought about that when I saw the column. It seems to me that there's a touch
of the Hedges' headlong rush when he emphasizes Chomsky's talk of fascism but
not the legitimacy of the grievances which an "honest, charismatic" fascist
might manipulate.

The column has a slapdash quality - e.g. he doesn't get Chomsky's age right; and
what does it mean to say "he steps outside of every group and eschews all
ideologies," when he's talked for 40 years of groups he supports and ideologies
he embraces (notably libertarian socialism)? But it's saved by how much of
Chomsky (and Finkelstein) it quotes. --CGE
