Tom Engelhardt often digs out important aspects of what's happening with respect to American actions and policies. In this article he shows that efforts to train Aghans to support U.S. policies seems to be going nowhere despite the billions expended, and contrasts this with the effectiveness of Afghan forces who constitute the Taliban and have comparatively miniscule (financial) resources.
