The US is rapidly arming Ukraine and has a new found confidence in the possibility of defeating Russia and not having to compromise on the issue of Ukrainian neutrality. The statements by Biden, Austin, Blinken, and Sullivan, Pelosi's imperial visit to Kyiv, and this latest statement by the Ukrainian defence minister about the present reality of Ukraine's "de facto" NATO membership in NATO all attest to that. I believe that only a protracted stalemate and the inflationary effects of the war on Western public opinion may persuade NATO planners to end the war by giving Russia an assurance of Ukrainian neutrality - on paper, for what it's worth.
