Subject: When I opened the News-Gazette yesterday....

I almost lost my breakfast finding the life-size front-page mugshot of the late Timmy Johnson, former Republican 6th Ward precinct committeeman (who replaced his old man), Urbana City Council 6th Ward alderman, 12-term Illinois state representative (known as "paper-clip Tim" for registering his absent votes) and 6-term U.S. Congressman, who did not receive one of my votes over his 50-year political career.  Yeah, I always heard that "he helped a lot of people"--that's what his staff was for, and all the calls he made as a Congressman were no doubt reelection fundraising.  The article didn't mention anything about his early stint in the Air Farce (sic) Academy (did he flunk out?), before he came home to go to law school and launch his political career, with the help of his YAF colleagues ("Young Americans for Freedom"). 
According to his reputation in Springfield, If he were in office today he would be at the top of the #ME TOO list.
