David should treat this contempt with the remark it deserves...!<br>
<br>
And those asking for particulars should take the trouble to read the
article he cites.<br>
<br>
David points to the important fact that it is self-styled *liberal*
(in our sense) governments (aka social democratic) that have
generated mad rightist protests - cf. the Tea Party in the US - by
adopting neoliberal (covert but stringent anti-working class)
policies. The policies are oppressive and their practitioners
(notably BHO) lie about them. See his frantic desire to cut Social
Security, Medicare and Medicaid - just the opposite of what should
be done. <br>
<br>
WSWS points out that it is "more than cynical when President Obama
responds to the murders in Oslo by calling for the 'war on terror'
to be stepped up. In fact, this 'war' has directly contributed to
the tragedy in Oslo."<br>
<br>
Some of us have been pointing out for years that Obama is a fraud.
He should be driven from office as LBJ was, for his expansion of the
war and his failure to produce a jobs program. (And Johnson was far
better on social programs.)<br>
<br>
Meanwhile, we should instruct our Congressional delegation that
there should be [1] no spending cuts - except to the military; and
[2] no new taxes - except on the richest 1%. <br>
<br>
Remarkably enough, we might now find a better reception amongst the
old Right than among the soi-disant liberals in the US. --CGE<br>
