I'm having trouble finding the best one, but on Sunday Amnesty
International ran a "Shadow Summit", which was planned to include
Madeleine Albrecht (though she may at last moment not have
appeared), which called on NATO... not to leave Afghanistan alone,
but to protect the rights of Afghan women. Several Afghan women
were there to speak for this. And, while the anti-NATO rally was
going on, Amnesty urged people to

A notable quote from the above:

Suzanne Nossel, executive director,
Amnesty International USA, said: “After the billions of dollars and thousands of lives
given to the cause of a secure and peaceful Afghanistan,
turning back the clock on women's rights would be tragic. Afghan
women understandably fear that a return to the dark days of
Taliban control over their lives will set back their rights,
undermine Afghanistan's stability and prosperity over the long
term, and
erode the legacy of the last

Erode the legacy?

AIUSA has already posted a defensive blurb in response to
criticism, saying that they neither support nor oppose the NATO

drones, too.
