I think that Ya'aqov has it exactly right.<br>

Any speaking out in favour of Bradley Manning is exactly Bashing
(figuratively) Mr. O'Bama,<br>
pure and simple.<br>
<br>
O'Bama is the sole individual responsible for the retention and torture
of Manning.<br>
<br>
It's not something that "just goes with the job, Honey Child".<br>
<br>
The retention and torture of <strike>Debs</strike> Manning is an
active personal choice on the part of <strike>Wilson</strike> Barack
Obama, <br>
and no one can utter, write, or suggest even one syllable in favour <br>
of Manning without engaging in the brutal sport of O'Bashing.<br>
<br>
Conversely, all those who support and defend Obama do subscribe to and
materially support and<br>
are meaningful participatory accomplices to the detention, torture, and
misery of Bradley Manning,<br>
who is himself a genuine hero.<br>
<br>
If you want to look at Obot as just a pawn, a brainless empty shell, a
machine programmed to <br>
do the bidding of the Wall Street Banksters and other 0.001%-ers, who <br>
just happens to be Occupy-ing the Oval Orifice as the head of the
administration - <br>
well, I would say you are pretty observant. But it's no reason not to
call for Obama's<br>
trial as a war criminal and enemy of much of what could be called good.<br>

Of course, individual members of Occupy are fwee to do as they wish.<br>

<div dir="ltr">A few things. From a pure sense, Occupy in itself
is/was a non partisan movement. Members of Occupy, however, are not
quite so non partisan for the most part. Taking a stand in favor of
Bradley Manning is not going against Obama himself, but rather him
allowing Bradley Manning to be held for this long without trial and in
the conditions he's been held. While going against many policies that
are now in place may appear to be going against Obama, I really don't
look at it that way. I look at it more as going against many policies
this current administration currently has in place. Obama just happens
to be at the head of this administration. I personally feel that doing
anything differently just because there is an election coming up is
going against the spirit of Occupy. Of course, individual members of
Occupy are free to do as they wish.<br>
