A month into the trial, the prosecution has rested its case against Bradley Manning. Supporters watched in the courtroom as the defense held rigorous cross-examinations, successfully preventing circumstantial evidence and unqualified witnesses from entering the court's consideration.
<div><b>Now, beginning July 8th the defense will finally have the chance to present its full case in front of Judge Lind.</b>
The defense plans to call 40 witnesses of its own, to testify over a period of one to two weeks.
We encourage supporters to attend these proceedings if they can.

Prior to the court martial Bradley Manning entered a plea accepting responsibility for releasing classified documents in hopes of revealing the true costs of the wars. He hoped to motivate "worldwide debate, discussion and reform".
