Bradley Manning is a soldier. If you are a soldier,<br>
your ass belongs to the armed forces.<br>
<br>
I dont believe that he aided the Enemy unless one<br>
considers the Amerikan people to be the enemy <br>
(and that is a option, it seems).<br>
<br>
However, when you sign up to be a soldier, you<br>
sign up to be a killing machine nothing less or more.<br>
The military cannot tolerate having soldiers that <br>
practice rebellion. <br>
<br>
Rebellion among soldiers is common enough but if<br>
they fail to overturn their masters, the punishment<br>
is always severe.<br>
<br>
I think Manning is a Hero. He will go to jail<br>
in all likelyhood. We can hope that some honorable<br>
people will be elected who will spring him from the slammer.<br>
<br>
Saying that jail time for Manning will curtail <br>
reporting is not exactly correct. <br>
The CIA-like barbecuing of that reporter guy in California might.<br>
<br>
They can't exactly come after civilians in quite the same way<br>
as they can soldiers. Manning is government property. <br>
<br>
You and I are not, even though they want to act we are.<br>
<br>
On a positive note, I saw that Glenn Greenwald will testify<br>
before Congress. That should be interesting.<br>
<br>
The backlash from the Dreyfus-like treatment of <br>
Snowden, Manning, Assange may harm the Obamites yet.<br>
<br>
Couldnt happen to a better bunch of SOB's.<br>
