J.N. said he and his brother used to sleep in the dust out in their

yard at night to get cool.  <br>

Mud evaporates better and thus cools better than plain sweat.<br>

They didnt have lawns in southern IL in the 30's., just packed clay

that they swept clean.<br>

(and they didnt have yard police either, so it was not all bad.)<br>
