For me this discussion points up some of the real crucial issues in
racism and war.<br>

Prejudice is not removed by argument as another Johnson noted.<br>

If you want to become non-racist it can be useful to transcend race
by getting<br>
above it or going under it.<br>

Going under it one forgets about all racism including one's own
race.<br>
Going above it one can see all of the racism and even see the
differences<br>
between genetic and cultural ethnicity and how those things interact<br>
and how they lead to interesting follow-on effects.<br>

In my humble opinion there is some truth in what Francis is saying
but I dont<br>
want to be marinated in that line of thinking. Of course it is
offensive to some.<br>
Just because something is offensive doesnt mean it is bad, per se.
Some folks<br>
could benefit from being offended.<br>

If you want to change the world, you will have to evict some memes
and offend some<br>
of those who are the Guardians of those memes.<br>

We have more important things to talk about, for
heaven's sake. Instead <br>
of flame wars, can we talk about what is happening in,
and what we can <br>
do to oppose, real, present, and impending wars?<br>
