</o:shapelayout></xml><![endif]--></head><body lang=EN-US link=blue vlink=purple><div class=WordSection1><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:16.0pt'>Last night I went to see the film “ CITIZEN 4 “ at the Art Theatre in downtown Champaign.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:16.0pt'>For those of you who don’t know, this is the latest film by Laura Poitras whose two previous films : “ My Country My Country “ ( 2006 ) about the life of everyday Iraqis living under the u.S. occupation and “ The Oath “ ( 2010 ) about Guantanamo concentration camp, which were nominated for multiple awards and resulted in Ms. Poitras being detained and questioned by U.S. Customs agents every time she returned from a trip abroad.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:16.0pt'>CITIZEN 4 is about Edward Snowden, filmed in Hong Kong immediately after Snowden left the u.S. and shortly before his disclosures of classified information about NSA spying on Americans.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:16.0pt'>Glen Greenwald and William Binney ( NSA whistle blower ) are also in the film.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:16.0pt'>Other segments of the film are filmed in : Rio de Janeiro, Berlin, and Moscow.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:16.0pt'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:16.0pt'>A very excellent and interesting film, I highly recommend it.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:16.0pt'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:16.0pt'>Despite the freezing -17 degree weather last night, the Art Theatre was packed with viewers.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:16.0pt'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:18.0pt'>For those living in Champaign-Urbana IL. , they are holding the film over one more day for one final showing at 5pm today ( THur.
