<li><span style="font-size:small"><span style="font-family:Verdana">Voted for NAFTA, sending millions of jobs overseas -- and even helped kill the healthcare public option. </span></span></li>

<p><span style="font-size:small"><span style="font-family:Verdana">It sounds like a Tea Party Republican, but it's not. It's Chicago's Democratic Mayor Rahm Emanuel -- and he's up for re-election in less than two weeks.<br>

</span><b><span style="font-family:Verdana;font-size:small">If Rahm emerges from this election unscathed, it'll send a message nationally that Democrats can get away with whatever they want, as long as they can raise enough money from super-wealthy donors.</span></b></p>
<p><b><span style="font-size:small"><span style="font-family:Verdana">Rahm can be beaten.</span></span></b><span style="font-size:small"><span style="font-family:Verdana"> </span></span><span style="font-size:small"><span style="font-family:Verdana">There's a great progressive running for Mayor, Jesus "Chuy" Garcia, and he's backed by United Working Families and a host of progressive groups from Moveon.org to the Chicago Teachers Union. </span></span><br>
<br>
<span style="font-family:Verdana;font-size:small">Early voting has just started in Chicago, and United Working Families needs every dollar to bring more progressive voters out to the polls.</span></p>

Challenge Rahm in the Mayor's Race.</span></span></b><span style="font-size:small"><span style="font-family:Verdana"> The latest polls have Emanuel leading, but hovering around only 40%. If we keep him under 50%, Rahm will be forced into a run-off, and end up with the last thing he wants: facing progressive Garcia in a one-on-one match-up in April. </span></span></p>
<p style="margin-left:40px"><b><span style="font-size:small"><span style="font-family:Verdana">2. The City Council.</span></span></b><span style="font-size:small"><span style="font-family:Verdana"> No matter who the Mayor is, they have to govern with the Council. Today, there are eight members on the progressive caucus who stand up to Mayor Emanuel. The Mayor's allies are spending big on a super PAC to defeat the progressive incumbents. Instead, our aim is to grow the progressive caucus, and help make them an even louder voice for a city that works for everyone. </span></span></p>
<p style="margin-left:40px"><b><span style="font-size:small"><span style="font-family:Verdana">3. New Progressive Infrastructure.</span></span></b><span style="font-size:small"><span style="font-family:Verdana"> No matter who wins the elections, we'll need stronger progressive organizations. That's why progressive allies launched United Working Families -- to run the kind of year round progressive political organization that can change the debate over the long term, by recruiting, training and electing great candidates. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:small"><span style="font-family:Verdana">We're going to come out of this with a stronger movement in Chicago. But we need your help down the home stretch. </span></span></p>
