I agree with Finkelstein/Chomsky's criticism that "one state" allows BDS critics to in some way accurately represent BDS as wanting to "destroy Israel." What that would mean in reality (although it's a fantasy) is of course democracy and civil equality. But debunking that notion does not counter the idea that this would destroy Israel as an ethnocratic state, which it always has been, regardless of the occupation. But Israel's ethnocracy should be dealt with separately from the occupation, in my view. I for one wouldn’t worry whether Israeli supporters willfully misrepresent the BD<b class="yiv7096141874">S</b> campaign, as David you accede to in saying that the S part of BDS somehow tends toward favoring a one state solution, anathema to those supporters. Chomsky, or
Finkelstein, holding on to the two state solution option appear badly out of touch with the “facts o the ground". In expressing your disagreement with this facet of the BD<b class="yiv7096141874">S</b> effort, you effectively, and regretfully, weaken it.
