<div>Thanks to all of you who came out last night for the
public presentation of the Junior Honors Seminar’s research
report on “Representation of Race and Gender in <i>News-Gazette</i>
Crime Coverage.” The conversation that followed our
presentation was especially
insightful, and clearly there is a large desire to
understand more about the ways that different groups are
represented in news coverage within our community. </div>

<div>Our report can be downloaded from the Cline Center for

<div>The presentation slides from last night will soon be
posted there as well. In addition, sometime in the next few
days we will be posting the various datasets compiled for
this study so you can explore the study’s data yourself. Our
research team is hoping
that your access to the data will generate new insights
about representations of race and gender in crime coverage
published by the News-Gazette and stimulate further
conversations in our community about this important topic.</div>
