Amidst all the fun, it's worthwhile remembering why the US political establishment concocted this smear against Trump: they were desperately afraid he would reduce the Obama administration's wars and war provocations, which were designed to prevent the emergence of Russia and China as what Brzezinski called 'peer competitors' for US economic hegemony.<br>
