The Summer 2001 issue of RAW VISION MAGAZINE has an article on "The Threads
of War" by Jack Lee with full color images of rugs made by nomadic peoples
who move across eastern Iran, western Afghanistan and nw Pakistan, called
Beluchs. Their hand-knotted wool rugs are full of images of tanks,
helicopters, guns and airports, if anyone is looking for some cultural
material on this conflict. It is hard to read the text, but the images can
be found at:

I also own the hard copy.
