Celebrate Urbana-Champaign People’s History Project
(CUCPHP) is a collective effort to identify
overlooked citizens, groups, and events that have made a significant
contribution to the social well being of the Urbana-Champaign community. CUCPHP
will
publicize their impact via the design and distribution of attractive,
artistic
posters. It is a not-for-profit project that is funded in part by the
Urbana Public Arts program. For more details, please visist: <a href="http://www.urbanapeopleshistory.wordpress.com">www.urbanapeopleshistory.wordpress.com</a><br></i></font></span><br> I would like to do a poster about an event that happened in the early days of AWARE (or just before), in which Homeland Security was coming to take away a community member named Ahmed, and many community members went to his house in protest the morning of. I am looking for people who were there to talk to, so that I can reconstruct the event. If you were there, or know someone who was, please contact me at:<br>
