Between 1936 and 1937 alone, more than two million workers had been on strike. Today, working people face continual attacks on their unions and unemployment rates hover around ten percent. As U.S. labor awakens from its decades-long slumber with a prolonged fight against budget cuts and the erosion of collective bargaining rights in Wisconsin and other states, what can we learn from the struggles of the 1930s? Come hear <B style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold">Leighton Christiansen</B>, an activist with the Graduate Employees Organization (GEO), unearth our hidden history of radicalism, and discuss what it means for those fighting for a better world today.</FONT></SPAN></SPAN></SPAN></B></SPAN></DIV>
