<p>Trump has threatened to attack Venezuela without Congressional authorization, <span style="box-sizing:border-box;font-weight:bolder">in violation of Article I of the Constitution and the War Powers Resolution of 1973</span>.</p>
<p>So far, under Nancy Pelosi’s leadership, the “Democratic-controlled” House of Representatives <b>hasn’t voted</b> against Trump’s threats, <span style="box-sizing:border-box;font-weight:bolder">shirking its Constitutional responsibility</span>. If the unconstitutional U.S.-Saudi war in Yemen is prologue, <span style="box-sizing:border-box;font-weight:bolder">the only way for the House of Representatives to be heard is to vote</span>.</p>
<p>The House’s failure to act could change any day the House is voting, <span style="box-sizing:border-box;font-weight:bolder">if Nancy Pelosi, Steny Hoyer, Eliot Engel, and Adam Smith would agree</span>.</p>
<p>There’s a <a href="http://org.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=ur2XNABoCd6EjBSphueP8LpgvbKW2TMT" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" class="m_5279549927947441908m_3078716180381145366js-petition-description-link" style="box-sizing:border-box;background-color:transparent;color:rgb(236,44,34)" target="_blank">bill</a> sponsored by CPC Vice Chair David Cicilline that re-affirms that the War Powers Resolution of 1973 is law and that it applies to Venezuela, meaning that Trump can’t attack Venezuela without getting <b>specific</b> Congressional authorization <b>beforehand</b>. This bill was introduced on <b>February 6</b>. There were hearings on it on <b>March 13</b>. It was reported out of Engel’s House Foreign Affairs Committee <a href="http://org.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=EYys2RIhbAt62S2O1Ik847pgvbKW2TMT" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" class="m_5279549927947441908m_3078716180381145366js-petition-description-link" style="box-sizing:border-box;background-color:transparent;color:rgb(236,44,34)" target="_blank"><b>25-19</b></a> on <b>April 9</b>. This bill has <a href="http://org.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=72tA%2BbpZR6U8p07V0nLrCLpgvbKW2TMT" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" class="m_5279549927947441908m_3078716180381145366js-petition-description-link" style="box-sizing:border-box;background-color:transparent;color:rgb(236,44,34)" target="_blank">more than 70 co-sponsors</a>. <span style="box-sizing:border-box;font-weight:bolder">Adam Smith</span>, chair of the House Armed Services Committee, can green-light this bill to the floor. Then Nancy Pelosi, Steny Hoyer, and Eliot Engel can put the Venezuela War Powers bill on the floor, <span style="box-sizing:border-box;font-weight:bolder">any time they want</span>.</p>
