Thanks Lavana,

after some discussion we ended up working this
problem out in a perhaps novel way, but one that
at least at the time seemed satisfactory to all
concerned.

A woman came to last nights meeting with a
proposal for a new show (I think her name was
Angela? or Amanda? Something starting with an
'A'), but had no real programming partner in
mind. I suggested that I sign on as her partner
and she sign on as mine thus giving both of us an
official, trained and paid up person on the books
-- satisfying the literal wording if not the
absolute intent of all of the relevant rules and
regulations -- and everyone seemed to feel that
this was a nice convenient way of avoiding the
necessity of making up a new rule and/or coming
up with a loophole for special circumstances.

Not that ultimately it wouldn't be a good idea to
create some exceptions, but that may be more
appropriate at a time further down the road when
the regular rules are more firmly established and
we have a better sense of their functionality.

In defense of my proposal, it wasn't meant to be
flippant or even entirely self-serving, because I
am in fact willing to help this person out with
her show if need be, as I often do with The Show
on Friday nights and also with Radio Triple R
every Monday.

So there is something to be said for members
working with one another and/or at least creating
'inter-show interconnectedness' which is, in
essence, a building of community.

This idea doesn't, of course, add to our dues
paying membership, but hopefully there is enough
that is positive about the idea that it negates
or at least palliates the negatives.

Anyway, thanks for helping me work this out and I
hope this is a satisfactory solution to all
concerned.
