Hi VIP-HN,

For those of you who missed orientation night I wanted to recap what we discussed:

At orientation night, we had speakers from American Cancer Society, Arthritis Foundation, Swann Special Care Center, and American Red Cross come in to speak very briefly about what types of volunteer opportunities their organizations offered.  Next, we did a fun icebreaker (the winners of the $5 starbuck's gift card will be announced on Monday), and ended with event sign up.

Here's a list of the events in case you missed out:

**Hang out and help out individuals w/ mental disabilities for a Saturday afternoon 1-4 p.m. at Swann Special Care Center:
Sept. 9
Sept. 16
Sept. 23
Oct. 14
Oct.21
Nov. 4
Nov.11

**Help chalk the quad to raise awareness and spread the word about GCAP's AIDs Walk on Oct. 2 and Oct. 5 6-7 p.m.

**Walk the AIDs walk and help run the event on Oct. 8 1130 check in, noon walk

**Hang out and learn to cook w/ individuals w/ mental disabilities from Champaign Urbana Special Recreation.  To find out more come to orientation specifically for CUSR Sept. 5 at 7 

If you are interested in any of these, the sign up sheets will be available on the VIP door in the RSO complex.

Someone took the sign up sheet for the Swann Special Care Center events.  I won't know who's signed up for those events unless I get the sheet back. PLEASE RETURN ASAP. Thanks.
