[Vip-hh] H&H CWIT volunteering heads-up

Hello my lovely CWIT volunteers, :)

I hope you all had a refreshing spring break!

Sorry for the hiatus in volunteering opps, but I am excited 
to update you on some dates for volunteering.

1. APRIL 9TH (Saturday) is VIP's "Spring Clean-up Day" 
*time TBA*

Every agency under VIP'S H&H is trying to facilitate a 
volunteering opportunity and we're trying to garner as much 
volunteering power as possible! CWIT is no exception. Please 
come out and volunteer! We may be doing some outdoor 
painting, but the details are still being worked out. Look 
ahead for *another email* this week. Also, if you're out on 
the Quad Friday, look also for an H&H booth for more 
volunteering opportunities with other agencies!

2. 4/11 Making/Baking Dessert at CWT! 3:30 PM

Thanks to my chicas that came out to make dinner a couple of 
weeks ago. It was fun to meet all of you and see you cook! On 
the 11th we'll be making desserts for the 
women, and hopefully being able to assort them and deliver 
them to the women. Think cookies, cupcakes, that sort of 
thing. :) Who can turn down dessert? I am again looking for 
about 3-4 volunteers. If you have any simple dessert recipes, 
please forward to the me. Email me if you're interested!

3. other tentative opps:
- salsa night
- manicure/pedicure night (the weather is getting nice! must 
get those hands and nails ready!)
- working with kids, playing games, etc. 

I am always open to new ideas for volunteering. The key is 
having service opportunities that really exhibit care and 
respect for these women, as we are entering their personal 
living space and their lives. It is a great opportunity and 
eye opener for us college students!

interested in any of the above, or just want to shoot me some 
ideas.
