[Vip-hh] Volunteers Needed: Hunger and Homelessness Special Projects V

Hi all,

I'm Steve with VIP H&H Special Projects.  We need leaders and coordinators for the various special projects we have planned for the fall and upcoming spring semester.  So far this is what we have planned:

Food Drive:  We are planning to push a massive food drive coming into Thanksgiving.  There are over 45,000 staff and students on campus and I think its possible to get each of them to donate a dollar or 1 pound of food.  We need motivated leaders from a variety of colleges, especially from the big ones such as Business/LAS/Engineering.  Great thing to  have on your resume, be a part of something HUGE :D

Faces of Hunger and Homelessness:  We are going to be organizing a panel to let students hear the stories of some homeless individuals.  We need coordinators to help organizes and take charge!

National Students Campaign Against Hunger and Homelessness (NSCAHH) - We will be organizing a trip to the NSCAHH conference in Madison, Wisconsin this year.  This will be taking place during Winter Break.  This is a multi-day trip and will involve workshops on various ways you can take charge and alleviate hunger and homelessness in your local neighborhoods.  We are trying to secure 6-8 student slots.  Cost is still up in the air, but if you are active in volunteering or want to work closer with VIP H&H, this would be a great trip for you.
