[Vip-recreation] Kidapalooza and last YMCA events

Thanks to all of you that have already volunteered for
Kidapalooza, you will be receiving more info soon...but we
still need a lot more volunteers to help run this carnival
that celebrates kids in teh fight against child abuse!!

**This Saturday April 30th from 1-4pm.  Rides will be
provided, leaving from the Union at 12:30pm.  Please email me
at ctrimarc at uiuc.edu asap if you can help out!  It's a great
cause and a lot of fun, plus its our biggest event of the
spring so please come out and bring your friends to help!

**Afterhours this Saturday from 7-10pm, probably the last time
we will be providing rides for the year (although it runs
through May) so take advantage of the opportunity to hang out
and play basketball with the junior high schoolers (plus, free
pizza). Email Jim at jkrejci at uiuc.edu

**FAMILY FITNESS NIGHT. On May 6th, from 6 to 8 pm, the YMCA
on Country Fair Road will be having its Family Fitness Night.
Volunteers will organize and participate in the classic P.E.
activities, including DODGEBALL (!), tag, jump rope, etc. We
will also be making a healthy snack. (Cucumbers with cottage
cheese, I hope! That’s nachos, Flanders-style!) We need five
volunteers willing to relive the days of recess and lunchtime
for this event. Contact Pete Gayed(pgayed at uiuc.edu) if
interested. Transportation will be provided for this 3-point
event.
 
**YMCA Family Camp-Out May 20th adn 21st.  Email Pete at
pgayed at uiuc.edu for more info - please reply asap because
there is an information meeting you will need to attend - this
it this 1st time ever for this so it should be awesome if you
love camping:)
